Profile Description

Dr. M. Raja is a general, laparoscopic, and podiatric surgeon based in Vizag. Coming from a family of doctors, with his father having worked in government service, Dr. Raja completed his MBBS from Pondicherry University and pursued his MS in General Surgery from KMC Mangalore in Karnataka. After completing his MS, he worked as a senior resident at Tirumala Super Speciality Hospital in Vizianagaram under Dr. K. Tirumala Prasad, where he received laparoscopic training.

Dr. Raja went on to work as a consultant at Manipal Hospital, Mycure Hospital, Pinnacle Hospital, and Omni Hospital, gaining extensive experience in his field. He later established his own center, Shreyas Hospital, located at Gurdwara Junction in Visakhapatnam, which specializes in diabetic foot care and day-care services.

With over 10 years of experience, Dr. Raja has developed a particular interest in diabetic foot management and specializes in general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, diabetic foot care, podiatric procedures, and coloproctology. He is an active member of several medical associations, including ASI, AMASI, IMA, IPA, DFSI, and ISCP.

I have published a paper in APASICON about sacropexy, which is a surgical procedure to repair vault prolapse. Additionally, I have written a scientific article on diabetic foot and the role of clindamycin in its treatment, which was published by Pfizer. I have also actively participated in several national and international Continuing Medical Education (CME) events.
